Warm Waves Coffee

Born Out of Purpose and Fueled by Passion

Warm Waves is a coffee shop in Alpharetta, Georgia that works directly with farmers throughout Central America to build relationships with their community and farming partners. Their goal was to rebrand their business in a way that highlighted the farmers’ stories and transported customers into coastal Central America.

We defined a new Visual Identity and redesigned the website for both a better user experience and as a means to tell the individual stories of the farmers and families.

We also helped with various marketing materials including menus and coffee bag designs.

LOGO VARIATIONS

Warm Waves already had a Primary Logo in place that they wanted to keep. However, the art files were corrupt and the logo needed to be rebuilt, also incorporating the new color palette we designed. We then added a Secondary Logo for more vertical spaces and created a Sub-mark/icon for Social Media. We included black and white options, full color, and inverse so Warm Waves had every file type and version for both Print and Digital needs.

Style Guide

We based our new Visual Identity and Style Guide on the colors, textures and tones found in Central America. We designed a color palette featuring rich tans and browns balanced with lush green hues. New typography was introduced that brought a more modern, warm, and friendly welcome than the previous font pairings.

Brand Graphics

Visuals are crucial to transporting visitors in both the coffee shop and online space to Central America. We mixed hand-drawn graphics with textures and effects evocative of a warm and sunny day at the beach.

COFFEE BAG DESIGN

We also created new coffee bag designs that incorporate the new color palette and brand graphics to create a unique coffee bag design that is cohesive with the business’s new look and feel.

Website Redesign

Before the redesign, the website contained issues in its content and user experience. We felt this was a necessary space to share the story of the coffee shop’s mission and the showcase the hardworking families and farms responsible for growing the coffee enjoyed within the shop. The website became a portal to Central American coffee farms and a touchpoint for viewers to learn and appreciate more about the beverage that, for many, is part of a daily ritual. You can view the new website here!
